Organisational Structure

The Postie Plus Group Limited senior management team are set out below.

 

SENIOR MANAGEMENT

Richard Binns

Chief Executive Officer

PPGL welcomed Richard Binns to the position of Chief Executive Officer, commencing mid-September 2013. He is based at the company’s new head office in Greenlane, Auckland.

Richard has a long career in the retail sector, starting out in the United Kingdom where he was born. Early in his career, he worked for Marks & Spencer for six years before moving to Sainsbury’s, where he held such key roles as Buying and Merchandising Director, (Clothing) and Trading Manager. He then joined the John Lewis Partnership, the third largest privately owned business in the UK, which operates John Lewis department stores and Waitrose supermarkets.

Since his migration to New Zealand, in 2007, he has been active in strong domestic retail brands. He worked for The Warehouse for two years leading that group’s General Merchandise activity. Richard then became Chief Operating Officer of Overland; thereafter he was employed by Hellaby Group Limited’s subsidiary No 1 Shoes as General Manager Operations.

Peter Nouwens

Chief Financial Officer

PPGL welcomed Peter Nouwens to the position of Chief Financial Officer, commencing 7 January 2013. He has joined the senior management team in the company’s new head office in Greenlane, Auckland.

Peter is a chartered accountant with 25 year’s experience, 14 of those in senior management positions in publishing, multi-channel retail and market research organisations within New Zealand and Australia. He has significant experience in identifying, developing and implementing profit improvement solutions across teams, processes, systems and suppliers.

After five years with the market research multinational Nielsen, Peter spent two and a half years rebuilding and relocating finance teams and implementing system/process improvement solutions for multi-channel retail organisations Just Kids, TVSN and Ezibuy before joining publisher Pacific Magazines as CFO for four years and then ACP Media for two years.

 

Jillian Paul

Group Human Resources Manager

Jillian is responsible for employment relations for PPGL. She joined PPGL in 2005 from Progressive Enterprises where she was General Manager.

 

Bianca Edenborough

Marketing Manager

Bianca is responsible for the overall Marketing for PPGL. She joined PPGL in 2012.  Originally from an agency background, Bianca more recently spent five years with The Body Shop International in London.  Moving back to NZ in 2009, Bianca was appointed Marketing Manager at Number One Shoes.

Duncan Johnson

National Retail Manager

Duncan is responsible for the Retail Network. He joined PPGL in 2014.  Duncan brings a strong retail background to the organization having worked at Number One Shoes, Astra OPD, Paper Plus and Warehouse Stationery.

Julia Lunt

Head of Merchandise

Julia has overall responsibility for buying, planning and QA.  She joined PPGL in 2012.  Previously Julia worked at The Warehouse in numerous buying roles, and prior to that worked as a buyer at The House of Fraser in London. She brings a wealth of experience to the role.
